meaning of communication 

''communication from Latin communicare, word this word meaning is ''to share'' communication is a process of exchanging information, ideas, thoughts, speech etc.
process of communication
in a communication a sender (it is also known as an encoder) encodes a message and then using a medium/channel sends it to the receiver (decoder) who decodes the message and after processing the information sends back appropriate feedback with the help of medium or channel.

main steps inherent to all communication 
  • purpose or reason for the communication
  • contents of the message
  • the medium used for conveying the message in the form of a telegram, speech etc
  • transmitting the message 
  • receiving the message

types of communication 

there are two types of communication 
  1. based on communication channel (verbal, nonverbal, visual )
  2. based on purpose and style (formal, informal)
